Yohoster, LLC is committed to full transparency regarding our billing practices and compliance with state and local regulations. Below is an overview of how taxes and legal standards apply to our engineering services and infrastructure management.
1. Professional Services and Arizona TPT
Yohoster, LLC is headquartered in Surprise, Arizona. Under Arizona law, the Transaction Privilege Tax (PTT) is a tax on the privilege of doing business in the state.
- Service-Based Exemption: Most of the services we provide, including senior-level troubleshooting, custom code engineering, and technical audits, are classified as professional labor. In the state of Arizona, pure professional services are generally not subject to TPT.
- Maintenance Plans: Our $79, $199, and $499 plans are service-centric infrastructure management solutions. As such, these plans are currently treated as non-taxable professional services for Arizona-based transactions.
2. Transaction Sourcing
We follow destination-based sourcing rules where applicable.
- Out-of-State Clients: For clients located outside of Arizona, we monitor economic nexus thresholds. If your jurisdiction requires the collection of sales or use tax for managed services, these amounts will be calculated and displayed clearly at the time of checkout.
- In-State Clients: For clients within Arizona, your transaction is sourced to our primary business location in Surprise, AZ.
3. Reseller Infrastructure
As a GoDaddy Reseller, Yohoster, LLC provides access to enterprise-grade server hardware.
- Resale Certificates: We maintain a valid Arizona TPT License. This allows us to work efficiently with upstream infrastructure providers to ensure that we are not double-taxing the underlying hardware resources passed on to our clients.
- Separation of Concerns: Your invoice clearly distinguishes between personal engineering labor (Consultancy) and raw resource allocation (Hosting).
4. Data Compliance and Security
Beyond financial tax compliance, we adhere to strict technical compliance standards:
- PCI Compliance: While we manage your WooCommerce environment, all payment processing is handled via secure, off-site gateways. Yohoster servers do not store raw credit card numbers, ensuring your store meets PCI-DSS requirements.
- Verification Security: Any documentation submitted for our Community Rate (First Responders, Veterans, and Non-Profits) is handled through encrypted channels and used solely for eligibility verification.
5. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for any use taxes or reporting requirements specific to their own business operations and jurisdictions. Yohoster, LLC provides detailed digital invoices through the client portal to assist with your internal bookkeeping and tax preparation.
