This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules for using the hosting infrastructure and engineering services provided by Yohoster, LLC. By using our services, you agree to ensure your website and its users adhere to these standards.
1. Purpose and Scope
The goal of this policy is to protect the technical integrity, security, and reputation of Yohoster and its global infrastructure partners. We maintain a high standard of professional engineering, and we expect our clients to maintain a high standard of digital citizenship.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Yohoster infrastructure for any of the following:
- Spam and Unsolicited Communication: Sending mass unsolicited emails, “mail-bombing,” or operating open proxy servers.
- Malicious Activity: Hosting or distributing malware, viruses, or any code intended to damage or hijack remote systems.
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our network or any system without explicit authorization.
- Network Interference: Engaging in activities that result in a Denial of Service (DoS) or otherwise degrading the performance of our shared infrastructure.
- Illegal Content: Hosting material that violates local, state, or federal laws, including copyright infringement (DMCA violations) or fraudulent schemes.
3. Resource Usage Standards
To ensure performance for all merchants, your account must not exceed reasonable resource limits.
- System Impact: If a site’s custom code or unoptimized database causes excessive CPU or RAM usage that threatens server stability, Yohoster reserves the right to throttle the site or require an immediate architectural fix.
- Storage Integrity: Servers are for active website files only. Using the hosting environment as a general file storage or backup repository for non-website data is prohibited.
4. Security Responsibilities
While Yohoster provides proactive monitoring, clients must:
- Avoid using known “nulled” or pirated plugins and themes, which are a primary source of security breaches.
- Cooperatively address security vulnerabilities identified during our senior-level audits.
5. Violation and Enforcement
Yohoster is the sole arbiter of what constitutes a violation of this AUP.
- Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend any account that poses an immediate threat to our infrastructure or other clients without prior notice.
- Termination: Repeated or severe violations will result in the termination of all services and the cancellation of all maintenance plans without refund.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any abuse of our services, please report it immediately through the Yohoster client portal.
